Dr. Antonio Cooper

Dr. Antonio Cooper currently holds the position of Director of Curriculum & Instruction for Vestavia Hills City Schools. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling, an Education Specialist degree in Administrative Leadership in Teaching and Learning, and a Doctorate in Administrative Leadership in Teaching & Learning.

Over the course of his distinguished 17-year career in education, Dr. Cooper has assumed various roles, such as behavior specialist, teacher for grades 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th, dean of students, coach, secondary assistant principal, elementary principal, secondary principal, and coordinator of student services. His extensive experience reflects a commitment to diverse aspects of education at both the elementary and secondary levels.

Dr. Antonio Cooper has been acknowledged as a Fellow with Hope Institute, a recognition specifically attributed to his noteworthy contributions in the field of character education. This distinction highlights his significant impact and commitment to fostering positive character development within educational settings. Dr. Cooper's dedication to character education aligns with his broader mission to inspire individuals to dream big, recognize their purpose, and walk in their full potential.

Breah Grant

Mrs. Breah Grant is a Next Steps Liaison in Vestavia Hills City Schools, assisting students at Liberty Park Middle School and all elementary schools. She graduated from Alabama A&M University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2013. She pursued further education at the University of Alabama, earning a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2015. Breah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working in the educational setting for the past seven years. She is committed to empowering students by providing essential resources needed for their success. Breah is married to Julian Grant and has a daughter, Olivia.

Rachel Mohd

Ms. Rachel Mohd, a proud Birmingham native, is a Next Steps Liaison liaison at Vestavia Hills City Schools. She serves students at Liberty Park Middle School and all elementary schools in the district. After earning her B.S. in Psychology from Berry College in 2021, she dedicated herself to working with educational nonprofits, where she developed impactful curricula. She then continued her academic journey at Harvard University, earning a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership in 2024. Rachel is thrilled to empower the students of Vestavia Hills City Schools, contributing to their academic and personal growth, and is dedicated to fostering their future success.
