Registration is now open for Peer Model screenings for the Vestavia Hills City Schools Preschool Program for the 2026–2027 school year. This application process is for typically-developing children (peer models) who will be considered for Peer Model placement into the program and will go through a screening process with our preschool teachers. The screening involves each child rotating between a few activities with peers. It allows the preschool team to see the student's strengths in play-based learning and peer interactions. Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2026, to be eligible. The preschool program runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
